    2020 All British Motoring Meeting

Presented by AABMS (Alberta All British Motoring Society)

Ok this is simply one of the best days of the year... the vehicles bring people together in ways that just do not always happen on a normal day. Suddenly people who have never met are sharing stories about the vehicles in their life, the impact they had... the memories of that time... and people just come alive in ways that they have not seen in awhile... it is truly amazing and the vehicles are cool too...

This is not a VSCCC event. Please visit the Alberta All British Motoring Society website by clicking below for more information and to register:

    • Radium Hot Springs, BC

The Calgary MG Car Club will return to Radium Hot Springs B.C once again from Friday June 19 thru Sunday June 21 for BritsBest Classics!

This year, the event will precede a special honour for our club, as we host North American MGB Register's 2020 annual convention, the marquee event for MGBs across North America. Workshops, social events, scenic drives, and an automobile show on Canada Day in Calgary's beautiful Stanley Park will see Western Canadian hospitality at its finest. We've had the good fortune to have this event scheduled immediately before the start of the Calgary Stampede, so we expect this event to be "an offer that can't be refused". MG2020 will be held in Calgary, June 28 through July 1, the weekend following BritsBest Classics. In light of this, our annual BritsBest Classics event for this year will be super-casual: we’re keeping it simple so we can enjoy the getaway and get-together with minimal administrative effort….

Our host motel will once again be the Crystal Springs Motel, which will have most of their rooms blocked for our guests. Friday and Saturday evenings will be informal socials at the motel (no Saturday banquet). The lawn area and gazebo have BBQs available for self-catering: bring a hot dog, burger, steak or eggplant to cook-up on site... our club will provide complimentary salad, soft drinks and chips/nuts etc. Previous attendees know it’s a great place to hang out and talk tech or tell stories around our parked cars! Saturday is the car show ($10 registration collected at the event), followed by the Morris Calvert Memorial Rally - of course this includes a stop for some legendary pie at the Edgewater Hilltop Par 3 golf course!

Edgewater Elementary School will be assisting us with our Peoples' Choice Award this year, as part of their school being the beneficiary of our fundraising in 2020.

Please mark your calendars for the Father's Day weekend in Radium Hot Springs, and keep an eye on the BritsBest 2020 thread on the Club forum at the MGExperience for the latest news and updates.

We look forward to seeing you in Radium Hot Springs in June!
